The Ashram feeds over 4000 people a day in the many communities in & around Durban, and in its community soup kitchen in Welbedacht. All food is healthy & fresh vegetarian meals. Food hampers are distributed on a regular basis to the vulnerable
Thousands of children are given school support every year. Full school bursaries including stationery, uniforms & free tuitions are given to members of the Ashram's children's club.
Most of the youth in our youth programs have been with the Ashram from childhood & continue to be active in our arts & drama, yoga, meditation, dance, part-time work, and leadership programs
The Ashram has a purpose built skills training centre in Welbedacht. Over the last few years the Ashram has conducted free accredited sewing courses. The Ashram has sponsored many school leavers for computer training and business skills courses

The Sarva Dharma Ashram is SARS registered PBO Exemption Reference no 930071067
A taxpayer making a bona fide donation in cash or of property in kind to a section 18A-approved organisation, is entitled to a deduction from taxable income if the donation is supported by the necessary section 18A receipt issued by the organisation or, in certain circumstances, by an employees' tax certificate reflecting the donations made by the employee. The amount of donations which may qualify for a tax deduction is limited.
Since the late 1990's and for over period of 20 years there's been a massive growth in the number of townships been built around Welbedacht, extending all the way from Umlazi to Marianhill and beyond. People from the many informal settlements in Durban have been re-settled into these vast developing communities with little to no community services available.
People from Umlazi and all the way to Savanah Park and Marianhill, benefit from our services. They come from far and wide, walking sometimes for over 20KM's to get food. As more townships were built and more and more communities need help, we have go to them, especially for the children.
